Painted Canvas Shoes

Created some really cool painted canvas shoes from Erin Bassett's workshop at 21 Secrets. Love them!

Sparkle Flower

Made this super sparkly flower piece in Dion Dior's workshop at 21 Secrets. Started out with a watercolor background with mulberry paper collaged onto it. Hand drew/painted the flower and leaves and then added lots of glittery accents. Can't see it in the photo, but I stitched around the edge with gold thread. Love how it turned out, so I framed it. :)

DAISY Canvas

Didn't add a lot of color or enhancements as I wanted the photo to shine through. This 8" X 10" canvas features our 7 year-old yorkie princess "Daisy".

YOU Journal Page

Used Crafter's Workshop stencils for the background and silhouette. The quote on the silhouette is heat-embossed in white.

CREATE Journal Page

Flowers from a Donna Downey stencil and highlighed with oil pastels. Letter diecuts are from a My Favorite Things alpha die.

COLOR Journal Page

Another page in my journal. Modeling paste and harlequin stencil with lots of ink and paint.

SING YOUR SONG Journal Page

Another page in my handmade journal (which I LOVE if you haven't already noticed :) The pages in this journal are made from catalog envelopes.Very cool.

More Gelli Prints

Had lots of fun today continuing my weekend gelli session. Finally had to put the plate away and get some work done! :) These prints will make a great base for journal pages.

This bird/sun combo is my absolute fav!

Book Page

First journal page finished in my hand-made book. I love the feel of this book.

Handmade Book Class

Finished my book from a class I am taking with Roben-Marie Smith. This was definitely one of the most fun projects I've ever done. The entire book is handmade from the inky dyed fabric to the gelli plate painted pages.  Love how it turned out!

File Folder Art

Cover of my file folder art page. Some of the techniques used are from Mixed Media Mayhem workshop by the fabulous Roben-Marie Smith. Seriously, if you want to learn about mixed media art, she is where you need to start.

Rose Card for Mom

Made this card for my mother for her birthday awhile back using Papertrey Ink's Year of Flowers - Roses. I'm submitting it for their contest drawing to win a gift certificate to their store. Keeping my fingers crossed! :)

Peony Journal Page

Another journal page inspired by Donna Downey's "Signature Series" book. This is my favorite so far. The flowers are stenciled with modeling paste and colored with ink and paint. The stems are my own fun twist: dyed, twisted cheesecloth attached with gel medium.....turned out better than I planned! :)

Follow Your Heart Journal Page

This page was inspired by a Donna Downey canvas from her "Signature Series" book. The background was done with a Crafter's Workshop stencil, modeling paste and Pan Pastels. The heart was made with modeling paste. It looks a little wonky in the photo....I need to use my camera instead of my phone for pics!
